Zambians should be patient as President Hakainde Hichilema seeks to identify suitable people to complete his Cabinet and drive the country’s development agenda, State House Chief Communication Specialist Clayson Hamasaka has said.
And Mr Hamasaka has urged citizens to ignore claims that the Grow Zambia Agenda will fail, saying such assertions were aimed at undermining public confidence in Government’s development plans.
In an exclusive interview, Mr Hamasaka said there was no cause for alarm over the Cabinet appointments, noting that key positions, including the Ministries of Finance and National Planning, and Health, had already been filled.
He said President Hichilema was aware of public anxiety over the composition of the full Cabinet but needed sufficient time to ensure that suitable people were appointed to deliver on Government’s priorities.
“There is no advice I can give to those pushing the President to announce the full Cabinet. We just need to be patient because he will soon announce the full Cabinet,” Mr Hamasaka said.

He further urged members of the public not to pay attention to what he described as misleading claims that the Grow Zambia Agenda would not produce meaningful results.
Mr Hamasaka said the Head of State remained focused on delivering tangible economic and social progress rather than being distracted by political debates and social media commentary.
“One thing I can assure everyone is that President Hakainde Hichilema will not govern the country based on social media commentary. His focus is on development, not third-term talk,” he said.
Mr Hamasaka maintained that the Grow Zambia Agenda, unveiled during the President’s inauguration on September 1, was not merely a political slogan but a measurable blueprint for national transformation.
