The Copper Queens have suffered a 2- 1 loss to Uganda in the 2028 Olympics qualifier first leg encounter.
Despite taking an early lead through PRISCA CHILUFYA in the 5th minute from a BARBRA BANDA assist, the hosts pulled a goal back in the 33rd minute courtesy of AGNESS NABUKENYA.
One all was the score at half time as Uganda enjoyed the larger part of ball possession in the first half.
In the second half , the hosts managed to cripple Zambia’s chances as they fired past goal Keeper HAZEL NALI in the 57th minute through SYLIVIA KABENE to extend their lead to 2-1.
The reverse fixture will be played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium next week Tuesday.
Winner of the game with a health goal margin will advance to the third round of the qualifiers.
