Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has issued a stern public warning to President Yoweri Museveni’s son-in-law, Odrek Rwabwogo, threatening to have him arrested if he contacts any security officer without Muhoozi’s prior approval.

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Chief of Defence Forces made the warning in a direct message aimed at Rwabwogo, who is also the chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID).

Muhoozi’s latest outburst comes just hours after he declared PACEID an “illegal organisation” and announced the arrest of some of its members over alleged corruption.

The First Son also confirmed the detention of Matthew Bagonza, a senior aide to Rwabwogo and head of the PACEID Secretariat, after posting a photo of him in custody

The dramatic public confrontation has now laid bare what appears to be growing tension within Uganda’s ruling elite, with Muhoozi’s military-backed authority openly clashing with an advisory body linked to another member of the First Family.

As the fallout continues, all eyes are on how Rwabwogo and PACEID will respond to the explosive accusations and threats coming from the country’s top military commander.
