He has wished Ms Musonda success in her role. And Women in News (WIN) Zambia Chapter says the appointment of Ms Musonda is a breakthrough in public media leadership, noting that men held the top position at the public media company for more than 70 years.
Chapter lead Jubiel Zulu said the appointment is particularly significant because Ms Musonda is not only an accomplished media leader but WIN Zambia’s country coordinator.
“She is a mentor, a champion for gender equality in the media, and a living example of what intentional investment in women leaders can achieve,” she said.
Ms Zulu said Ms Musonda’s progression from managing editor to acting managing director in January 2026, and now substantive managing director overseeing Daily Mail and Times Printpak Zambia Limited, demonstrates the value of experience and merit-based leadership. https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
