VICE-president Mutale Nalumango has joined the nation in mourning renowned actress Wanga Zulu of the Zambezi Magics’ local series drama, Mpali.

Ms Nalumango has shared a condolence message to Ms Wanga’s family.

“My heartfelt condolences to Mpali star-Wanga Zulu AKA Mai Guru.[family],” she wrote on her Facebook page.

Being a Northerner who shares tribal cousinship with Easteners, who are currently mourning Ms Zulu and liable to being smeared with powder or meal, Ms Nalumango has praised Mpali actor, Cosmas Ngandwe, aka Logic Benson, for adequately smearing white substance on mourners.

“I also wish to say Cosmas Ng’andwe AKA Logic is representing us, from the North very well,” Ms Nalumango wrote.

In less than an hour, Comas, known for his strong LR strong, had are gratitude reply of assurance for the Vice-President.

“Her honor,

Don’t worry.

They are catching feerings,” Comas wrote on Ms Nalumango’s posting which he shared.

Comas has aggressively been on rampage smearing powder or mealie meal on mourners, especially fellow actors, who hail from the East, at the funeral house.

The smearing of white substances on the bereaved between the Northerners and Easterners has been a long standing traditional among the two ethic groups.

It is a way of lightening up the burden of those grieving.

But it has lately drawn controversy in the manner it is being executed by some netizens, who find it inappropriate considering the occasion.

Wanga, 51, died on Thursday, while seeking medical attention for High Blood pressure/diabetes at the hospital, after she had earlier suffered a minor stoke, according to the family.

She is remembered for her motherly warmth and ably executing her role as Mai Guru in Mpali, where she was the first wife of polygamist, Monde Mutale, aka Mr Nguzu.

The mother of five was also an advocate against cancer when she courageously fought cervical cancer after being diagnosed in 2014, and treated.
