Vice President tips Yo Maps and Kidist on handling public criticism.

MUSICIAN Elton Mulenga, popularly known as Yo Maps, and his wife Kidist have met Vice President Mutale Nalumango, not for a music show but to seek guidance on handling public criticism.

The celebrity couple, who is no stranger to public scrutiny, asked Mrs Nalumango how she manages criticism.

In response, the Vice President, who is a reverend, shared her perspective saying criticism often follows the weight of responsibility.

“I was deeply moved when my son and daughter, whom many of you know as Yo Maps and Kidist,asked me a thoughtful question: ‘Mum, how do you handle public criticism?’ I told them this: Criticism often follows the weight of responsibility.

People may speak harshly not because of who you are, but because of the position you hold. Titles attract scrutiny. But just as the seasons change, so too do the tides of public opinion. When the title is gone, so too will much of the noise,” she wrote on her official Facebook page.
