A delegation of students who walked from Ndola to Lusaka has pledged to support any bills brought before Parliament to advance the Grow Zambia Agenda.
Copperbelt University School of Medicine (SoM) Student Union President Bright Banda says the students undertook the walk to thank President Hakainde Hichilema for the representation of youths in Parliament.
Mr Banda says young people are ready to support legislation aimed at national development.
Meanwhile, Copperbelt University SoM Minister of Finance Tiyamike Mwanza says the journey was not easy, but student leaders walked for the commitment of supporting initiatives that will benefit future generations.
And SoM Academic Affairs Minister Peter Mushota says the students will take the message of the Grow Zambia Agenda to the public.
The students have also thanked President Hichilema for the enactment of Bill 7 into law, saying the reinstatement of meal allowances has enabled them to concentrate on their studies.
Meanwhile, Copperbelt University Student Union President Given Chipewo has urged opposition political figures to engage in discussions on the Grow Zambia Agenda instead of spreading propaganda and attacking government on social media.
