President Hakainde Hichilema is this afternoon expected to officially open the Zambia Mining and Investment Insaka, which seeks to attract local, regional and international investment into the country’s mining sector.
The Insaka comes as Zambia works towards increasing annual copper production to three million tonnes, while encouraging investment in other mineral resources such as gold, amethyst, lithium and nickel.
The initiative also supports the Grow Zambia agenda, with a focus on value addition and the development of local mineral value chains to create more economic opportunities.
The Insaka is expected to provide a one-stop investment platform where investors can explore opportunities, establish partnerships and identify areas for investment across Zambia’s mining industry.
