FNB Zambia has officially reopened its Luanshya branch following a comprehensive refurbishment, reaffirming its commitment to investing in the people, businesses, and communities of Luanshya.
The refurbished branch is designed to enhance customer experience, improve service efficiency, and create a welcoming environment for individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses. FNB Zambia has underscored its purpose of offering real help through innovation, citing products like eWallet Plus and the CashPlus Agent network, as well as ongoing investments in digital banking solutions that allow customers to transact securely and conveniently from anywhere.

Speaking at the official reopening ceremony, FNB Zambia Retail Business Executive Mwamba Musambo highlighted that the event marks not just the unveiling of a modernized banking facility, but also the bank’s ongoing dedication to providing innovative, customer-centric financial solutions.

“This occasion reflects FNB Zambia’s continued investment in Luanshya and our commitment to delivering a banking experience that is modern, convenient, and centered on the needs of our customers,” Musambo stated.

“Innovation is not simply about technology, it’s about understanding our customers’ aspirations and developing solutions that help them achieve their goals,” Musambo explained. She highlighted the introduction of the FNB Vacant Land Loan, an innovative financing solution enabling more Zambians to access land ownership with flexible repayment terms up to K1.5 million.

As the bank moves forward, Musambo pledged to continue listening to customers, innovating, and investing in the communities it serves. “Your success remains our success, and your growth remains our inspiration. Together, we will continue building a stronger and more prosperous Luanshya. At FNB, when our customers grow, we grow too.”

Speaking at the same event, FNB Zambia Chief Marketing Officer Kasali M. Kaingu emphasized that the reopening is about reaffirming the bank’s commitment to the Luanshya community and celebrating the enduring partnership between FNB Zambia and the people it serves.

“As a brand, FNB Zambia is guided by a clear promise: to empower our customers to navigate their financial journeys with confidence, through innovative solutions, exceptional service, and convenient banking experiences tailored to their evolving needs,” Kaingu stated.

She highlighted the brand’s positioning, “Next is Now,” as a reflection of FNB Zambia’s belief that the future should be within reach today. “Our commitment is to ensure customers can access the right opportunities and solutions now, supported by a banking partner that is forward-thinking and responsive.”

Kaingu noted that FNB Zambia’s ongoing investments in branches, digital banking platforms, and its Agents network all serve to make banking more accessible, convenient, and relevant for customers across the country. “Today’s event is a tangible demonstration of that commitment,” she said.

Meanwhile, Guest of honor, Luanshya District Commissioner, Paul Malele, congratulated FNB Zambia on this important milestone and commended the bank for its continued investment in the people, businesses, and future of Luanshya.

He said the reopening of this branch is a testament to FNB Zambia’s confidence in Luanshya and its unwavering commitment to providing customers with modern, convenient, and high-quality banking services.

“I am particularly encouraged that, during the refurbishment period, banking services remained uninterrupted. Through the FNB Mobile Banking unit, FNB Agents, and a variety of digital banking channels, customers continued to access essential financial services, a clear demonstration of the bank’s customer-centric approach and its deep understanding of the vital role financial services play in everyday life.”

This initiative aligns seamlessly with the priorities set out in Zambia’s Eighth National Development Plan, which emphasizes private sector development, financial inclusion, economic diversification, digital transformation, and increased citizen participation in economic growth.

“Luanshya boasts a proud history and a promising future. While our roots are in mining, our next chapter will be shaped by entrepreneurship, small and medium enterprises, commerce, agriculture, and innovation. For these sectors to thrive, access to financial services is essential. Banks like FNB do more than facilitate transactions, they provide the financial foundation for business expansion, asset building, youth empowerment, and community prosperity.”

He further added that he was pleased to see FNB Zambia continue to introduce innovative solutions tailored to customer needs. “Products that support land ownership, wealth creation, entrepreneurship, and digital financial access empower citizens and stimulate economic activity. These are the kinds of investments that strengthen communities, promote economic inclusion, and contribute to sustainable national development.”

“To the people of Luanshya, I encourage you to embrace the opportunities provided by institutions like FNB Zambia, utilize formal banking, leverage digital financial services, support local businesses, and together, let us build a more prosperous district.” He urged.
