President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the invitation of the UAE President and Abu Dhabi Ruler Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for a two-day State visit.
The President’s itinerary while in that country will include an official bilateral meeting with Sheikh Mohammed to discuss matters of mutual interest, which will culminate in the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries.
Other highlights of the visit are the Zambia-UAE business and investment forum, a Presidential engagement with UAE business leaders and a meeting with the Zambian community in the UAE.
Acting Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane said in a statement issued in Lusaka yesterday that the visit, which would run until Wednesday, underscored Zambia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with the UAE and was aligned with the Government’s Grow Zambia Agenda.
