Mutapa Names 26-Man Squad for COSAFA U-20 Championship

Junior Chipolopolo head coach Perry Mutapa has named a 26-member squad for the 2026 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations COSAFA Qualifier in Mozambique.

Zambia will be aiming to reclaim the regional title after last winning it in 2022, when they edged Mozambique one-nil in the final.

The 12-time COSAFA champions, who first lifted the title in 1983, will be among 12 nations competing from September 18 to 27.

The Junior Chipolopolo are scheduled to leave for Mozambique this afternoon as preparations for the tournament enter the final stage.
