Chinese Ambassador to Zambia HAN JING says technology could accelerate the implementation of Zambia’s Grow Zambia Agenda if effectively integrated into the country’s development programmes.
Mr. HAN says Zambia needs to embrace technology as a key driver of economic growth, drawing on China’s experience of placing technology at the centre of its economic development.
He says China’s continued cooperation with Zambia provides an opportunity for the country to benefit from Chinese technological expertise as it pursues its development ambitions.
Mr.HAN says China will continue working with President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA during his second term, adding that China was among the first countries to congratulate the President on his re-election.

He was speaking during the 77th Anniversary of Chinese National Day at the Chinese Embassy in Lusaka last night.
And Ministry of Defence Permanent Secretary MAAMBO HAAMAUNDU said Zambia recognises China as one of the world’s leading countries in technology and is ready to draw on its expertise.
Mr. HAAMAUNDU said technological cooperation between the two countries forms part of the broader win-win partnership, which has already produced various achievements.
He said Government wants to use the partnership to strengthen Zambia’s capacity to adopt technology and support sustainable economic growth and development.
