BREAKING: China Plans 10% Retaliatory Tariffs on U.S.
China is reportedly preparing to impose 10% retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods, escalating trade tensions between Beijing and Washington.
The move would mark a further deterioration in U.S.-China economic relations, with Beijing signaling that it is prepared to respond to additional American trade measures with countermeasures of its own.
The proposed tariffs could affect U.S. exports to China and add pressure to already strained trade relations between the world’s two largest economies.
Beijing has repeatedly warned Washington that it will take necessary steps to defend China’s economic interests and respond to what it considers unilateral trade restrictions.
If implemented, the new tariffs could trigger another round of trade retaliation, potentially affecting businesses, supply chains and global markets.
