By Chansa Kunda Copper Queens Interim Head Coach CHARLES HAALUBONO says the technical bench has been working on consolidating key areas of the squad ahead of their 2028 Olympic World Cup qualifier against Uganda. The Copper Queens will open their 2028 Los Angeles Olympics qualifier on 8th of October 2026 away to Uganda. The fixture will be played at 16:00 hours at the Nakivubo Stadium in Kampala. Speaking after the team’s training session ,HAALUBONO said they have been improving the defense and striking force. He said so far the team is responding well to training despite having a shaky start. HAALUBONO said facing Uganda will require a lot of discipline as they are an athletic side that relies on direct football and long balls.
