Copper Queens Interim Coach, CHARLES HAALUBONO has challenged players to show determination and hunger after yesterday’s 2-1 loss to Uganda.
This was in the first leg fixture of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Qualifier match played in Kampala.
HAALUBONO says the team lost because they lacked character and could not show a fighting spirit.
He says despite the result the team remains determined to quality for the 2028 Olympic Games.
And Team Captain, BARBARA BANDA says the result was not what Zambia had hoped for but the players are confident of over turning the misfortune.
The reverse fixture between Zambia and Uganda will be played on October 13, 2026, in Ndola on the Copperbelt.
