President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says his visit to the United Arab Emirates has secured investment commitments worth 2.14 billion US dollars, with more deals expected to push the figure towards three billion dollars

Speaking at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport on arrival from the UAE, President HICHILEMA said the commitments cover health, agriculture, tourism and energy, including plans for a health city on a 100-hectare site near the airport.

He said the visit was aimed at strengthening partnerships that can attract private-sector investment and support Zambia’s economic growth.

President HICHILEMA said a small team has remained in the UAE to conclude additional transactions, with some deals expected to be finalised within the next two days
