THE Zambia Monitoring and Evaluation Association (ZaMEA) says it intends to name President Hakainde Hichilema as the national monitoring and evaluation (M&E) champion to promote accountability and results-based management in public service delivery.

ZaMEA president Raphael Chikwampu said the President’s emphasis on measurable deliverables, evidence generation and accountability presents an opportunity to strengthen monitoring and evaluation across all sectors.

In a statement yesterday, Mr Chikwampu said the association is ready to partner with Government and other stakeholders to advance the Grow Zambia Agenda through evidence based decision-making and effective monitoring of development programmes.

He said a robust M&E framework is essential to translating the country’s development ambitions into measurable results by establishing baselines, guiding decisions and tracking progress against set targets.

“As ZaMEA, we stand ready to provide the professional expertise needed to ensure that Zambia’s development journey to 2030 is evidence based, transparent and successful,” he said. https://enews.daily-mail.co.zm/welcome/home
