India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar Destroyed The Mecca Pact!

When asked whether the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement… signed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan on August 7th, was a cause of concern for India, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said:

“Well, look, you think about it. You refer to it as a defense pact.

There are live military situations which each of the signatories face. What has the Mecca pact done in response to that?”

Turkey has done nothing militarily.

Pakistan has acted as a mediator, not a defender.

Saudi Arabia has been fighting essentially alone while its two new “defense partners” negotiated and brokered deals.

The pact says an attack on one is an attack on all.

Iran has been attacking Saudi Arabia for 170 days.

Turkey and Pakistan did not invoke Article 5. They did not send forces.

They sent diplomats.

That is what he is pointing to.
