U.S.–RUSSIA | Kremlin Says It Has No Information on Reported U.S. C-17 Flight to Moscow
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says he has no information regarding reports that a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft arrived in Moscow
Peskov also stated that no meetings with U.S. representatives are currently scheduled in Moscow this week, adding further uncertainty to speculation surrounding the reported aircraft movement.
The reported arrival of a U.S. military transport aircraft in Russia has attracted attention amid ongoing discussions over the Russia-Ukraine war and potential diplomatic efforts involving Washington and Moscow.
However, the Kremlin’s comments provide no indication that the aircraft’s arrival was connected to negotiations, a diplomatic mission, or preparations for a new peace initiative.
The reported flight and its purpose have yet to be independently clarified, while Moscow and Washington have not announced any new high-level meeting for this week.
