Paul Moonga Regrets Joining Toonse Alliance in Last Minutes

PAUL MOONGA REGRETS JOINING TOONSE ALLIANCE IN LAST MINUTES.

Toonse Pamodzi Alliance Member Paul Moonga has dramatically regretted joining the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance, charging that the alliance is far more disorganized than it appears from the outside.

Mr. Moonga says looking at the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance from afar, one can easily be deceived into believing that it is a highly organized political formation, only to discover a completely different picture from within.

And Mr. Moonga says he remains an active member of the United Party for National Development (UPND).

Speaking to Zambian Watch News in an interview, Mr. Moonga says he never truly ditched the UPND for Toonse Pamodzi Alliance, but simply wanted to distance himself from what he described as toxic individuals within the ruling party.

He says the United Party for National Development and President Hakainde Hichilema remain his political choice.

Mr. Moonga says even during the just ended General Elections, he voted for President Hakainde Hichilema despite being publicly affiliated with the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance.

“First and foremost, I can say congratulations to President Hakainde Hichilema for his landslide victory. I knew when I jumped to Toonse Pamodzi Alliance that he would win the elections. That’s why I voted for him even when I was on the other side,” he stated.

“I was being frustrated by certain members in the UPND party. They were pushing me to leave the party at the eleventh hour. So I needed to find new friends and I went to Toonse. However, I voted for UPND,” he stated.
