President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on China to increase and accelerate investments in Zambia, particularly in strategic infrastructure and other key sectors of the economy.
President HICHILEMA has also urged the Chinese Government to speed up works on the Tanzania-Zambia Railway Authority –TAZARA- railway line and transport corridor.
He says there is need to accelerate work on the railway and investments along the corridor linking Zambia, Tanzania and the wider region.
President HICHILEMA says the Zambian and Tanzanian governments want to see works on the TAZARA railway line move faster, given its importance as a transport route that can support economic growth and regional trade.
