Chabinga Rejects Social Media Statement on Being Used

By Masauso Mkwayaya UPND member ROBERT CHABINGA has rejected statements circulating on social media and attributed to him under the headline, “They Used Us, Then Took Away the Mic.” Mr. CHABINGA says the statements are false and do not represent his views. According to a statement posted on his Facebook page and monitored by ZNBC, Mr. CHABINGA says his loyalty to President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA and support for the UPND remain firm and unwavering. He says he remains committed to supporting President HICHILEMA and the government’s efforts towards Zambia’s development. Mr. CHABINGA has also rejected what he describes as attempts to use his name to divide Zambians along tribal lines. He has urged members of the public to disregard the report and to verify statements attributed to him through his official communication channels before sharing them. Mr. CHABINGA says his position is clear and that his loyalty to President HICHILEMA has not changed.
