Picture: Zambia24

The Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has ordered that an incarcerated surety for former Nkana Member of Parliament Binwell Mpundu be brought before court tomorrow to explain the accused’s continued absence.

Magistrate Webster Milumbe made the order after the court was informed that Mr. Fube, one of Mr. Mpundu’s two sureties, is being held at Kabwata Police Station, while the second surety, Mr. Kang’ombe, is reportedly unwell.

The court also directed Mr. Kang’ombe to appear on another date, as Mr. Mpundu remains absent despite a bench warrant issued against him in his seditious practices case.
