EGYPT’S AL-SISI CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT HICHILEMA
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi has congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election for a second term in office, describing the outcome as a clear reflection of the Zambian people’s confidence in his leadership.
In a congratulatory message, President Al-Sisi said the result of the August 13 General Election demonstrated the strong trust Zambians have placed in President Hichilema and his vision for the country.
He described the victory as a testament to President Hichilema’s role in steering Zambia towards comprehensive national development, and commended the progress the country has made under his stewardship.
The Egyptian leader also extended his congratulations to the people of Zambia, praising their commitment to the democratic process. He expressed confidence that the country would continue to enjoy prosperity, stability and improved welfare under President Hichilema’s continued leadership.
President Al-Sisi went on to say that Egypt remains keen to deepen bilateral cooperation with Zambia and to build on the strong and longstanding relations between the two nations. He noted that the two countries share considerable potential for closer collaboration across trade, investment and development.
The message from Cairo adds to a steady stream of congratulations President Hichilema has received from heads of state and international institutions since his re-election, reflecting continued international goodwill towards Zambia and confidence in its development trajectory under his administration.
