Erb Increases Fuel Prices for November

The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has increased fuel pump prices for November 2026, with petrol rising from 31.46 Kwacha to 33.06 Kwacha per litre, while diesel has increased from 33.27 Kwacha to 34.45 Kwacha per litre.

The price of kerosene has also gone up from 29.76 Kwacha to 32.08 Kwacha per litre, while Jet A-1 has increased from 31.85 Kwacha to 34.51 Kwacha per litre.

In a statement , ERB Board Chairperson James Banda says the adjustments are largely attributed to rising international oil prices and the depreciation of the Zambian Kwacha against the United States Dollar.

The Board says during the period under review, the average price of petrol increased from 121.58 United States Dollars per barrel to 125.84 United States Dollars per barrel, while Kerosene/Jet A-1 rose from 144.00 United States Dollars to 153.22 United States Dollars per barrel.

Meanwhile, the average price of diesel marginally declined from 160.88 United States Dollars to 154.71 United States Dollars per barrel.

ERB further notes that the Kwacha depreciated by more than 3 percent against the United States Dollar during the same period, contributing to the upward adjustment in domestic fuel prices.

The revised pump prices will take effect at midnight on 31st October 2026 and will remain in force until the next price review.
