President Hakainde Hichilema has said that each and everyone of the 21 million citizens he serves, has something important to contribute to the country.
President Hichilema said this at Community House in Lusaka yesterday when he met Maggie Sapatu, a 52-year-old woman from Mwinilunga who walked for 18 days to Lusaka to appreciate him for his dedication to delivering development to citizens and Jeremiah Tembo, who cycled from Lusangazi to the inauguration ceremony.
“We serve 21 million Zambians and every citizen brings something important to the table.
“Maggie Sapatu walked for 18 days from Mwinilunga to bring us village chicken and Jeremiah Tembo cycled from Lusangazi to attend our inauguration. Today we sat and ate together, as fellow citizens,” President Hichilema said in a posting on his Facebook page.
According to ZNBC News monitored in Lusaka yesterday, President Hichilema said that the Government would continue to work to ensure that Free Education benefited the most vulnerable people in society.
He said that the policy did not only cushion families from the cost of education, but also ensured that citizens had access to education, which he described as an equaliser.
