President Hakainde Hichilema has returned home from a two-day working visit to the United Arab Emirates, assuring Zambians that he is well and not sick.
Speaking shortly after landing, President Hichilema says he is in good health and high spirits, while highlighting the achievements recorded during the visit.
The President says Zambia has secured investment agreements worth 2.14 billion dollars, with a small team left behind expected to conclude additional transactions that could bring in further investments.
He says the investments will cover key sectors, including health, agriculture, tourism and energy.
President Hichilema says plans are also underway for the development of a health city on a 100-hectare site near the airport, incorporating health facilities, hotels and tourism-related investments.
He adds that another substantial deal was also being concluded during the visit, describing the engagements as part of government’s efforts to attract more business and investment into Zambia.
President Hichilema says the visit to the UAE was aimed at supporting Zambia’s development goals and creating opportunities for further investment in line with the Grow Zambia Agenda.
