The National Pension Scheme Authority -NAPSA- and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Zambia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at promoting social security coverage among Chinese businesses.

The MoU will focus on enhancing compliance and strengthening collaboration with key stakeholders in the industry.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, NAPSA Director General MUYANGWA MUYANGWA said the partnership marks an important milestone in strengthening cooperation between the Authority and the Chinese business community.

Mr. MUYANGWA explained that the MoU provides a framework for cooperation in employer registration, compliance promotion, information sharing, capacity building and stakeholder engagement.

And Chinese Chamber of Commerce President LI TIE said the Chamber considers it a responsibility to encourage its members to comply with Zambia’s laws and regulations.

Meanwhile NAPSA Coverage Manager KALABA MWIMBA says social security is a human right and NAPSA is committed to ensuring that every worker in the country is covered.
