POLICE CHARGE LOVERS OVER ALLEGED CHALALA BEDROOM TRESPASS

The Zambia Police Service has charged two individuals with criminal trespass after they allegedly entered a residence in Chalala, Lusaka, without consent.

Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Chipo Kaitisha said the matter was reported at Lubwa Police Station around 11:00 hours by Patricia Mulenga, who found the suspects inside her bedroom.

Police said Ms. Mulenga had gone to take a shower and, upon returning, found Nsanda Phiri sleeping on her bed while Natasha Chanda was reportedly attempting to undress.

The two were allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

Police were called to the scene and apprehended the suspects before taking them to Lubwa Police Station.

They were charged with criminal trespass and later released on bond pending court appearance.

Ms. Kaitisha urged the public to respect others’ property and privacy.
