Shokii Mwana Chibolya – Ku Chibolya Video

Budding Zambian rapper Shokii Mwana Chibolya is using his latest release to tell a different story about his home community with the official music video for “Ku Chibolya.”

The powerful record is inspired by the real-life experiences of Chibolya, a community that has often been judged and condemned because of its reputation. Through the song, Shokii challenges those perceptions and reminds listeners that there is much more to the community than the stereotypes that have followed it.

Beyond the headlines and assumptions, Chibolya is home to hardworking people, families and dreamers who wake up every day trying to build better lives. “Ku Chibolya” gives these people a voice, highlighting the human side of a community that is often viewed through a narrow lens.

Shokii’s message is clear: a place should not be defined solely by the mistakes or actions of a few individuals. The song encourages listeners to look beyond the stereotypes and recognise the people, aspirations and everyday realities that exist within the community.
