Trump told a rally crowd exactly what’s on the line this November, framing a Democratic win in Congress as a guaranteed impeachment, all while pretending not to understand why anyone would bother.
“I’m going to be impeached. They’re going to impeach me. I have no idea why,” Trump said, treating the idea like a punchline instead of a warning about his own record.
He’s not wrong about the stakes. A Democratic majority in the House would mean subpoena power, oversight hearings, and the ability to finally force answers on things this administration has spent years stonewalling, from the Epstein files to conflicts of interest tied to his businesses.
Trump rarely tips his hand about what an election actually means for him personally. This time he said the quiet part out loud, predicting his own impeachment months before a single vote is cast.
Now it’s up to voters to decide whether he’s right.
