URGENT: TURKEY SIGNALS IT COULD CONFRONT ISRAEL WITHOUT NATO SUPPORT
Turkey is reportedly preparing to handle its escalating tensions with Israel on its own, without seeking military assistance from NATO.
The development comes as tensions between Ankara and Tel Aviv continue to rise, putting Turkey’s position as a key NATO member under increasing scrutiny.
Israel remains one of the United States’ closest strategic partners in the region, creating a difficult dilemma for Washington as tensions between two important regional actors intensify.
Although Turkey is a major NATO member, Ankara reportedly does not expect direct U.S. or NATO backing in any potential confrontation with Israel.
The situation places Washington in a delicate position: supporting Turkey could create a serious dispute with Israel, while openly backing Israel against a NATO ally could further strain relations with Ankara.
For now, Turkey appears determined to manage the dispute through its own political and military channels, while avoiding a direct confrontation that could trigger a much wider regional crisis.
