Finance and National Planning Minister, SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE, says Zambia is seeking to deepen British investment in key sectors as the country moves from economic stabilisation to growth.
Dr. MUSOKOTWANE says the Government is identifying areas where UK expertise and capital can support job creation, expand business opportunities and drive economic growth under the Grow Zambia Agenda.
The Finance Minister was speaking in Lusaka today when UK Trade Commissioner for Africa, ALASTAIR LONG, paid a courtesy call on him.
Dr. MUSOKOTWANE said the UK can further invest in agriculture, mining, sugar and forestry, building on decades of British investment in Zambia.

And Mr. LONG said Zambia’s economic stabilisation and the Grow Zambia Agenda provide a basis for attracting more British investment that creates jobs and retains greater value within the Zambian economy.
Mr. LONG said the UK will use platforms such as the Green Growth Compact to develop practical partnerships around Zambia’s priorities, particularly in energy, mining, agriculture, tourism and manufacturing.
Meanwhile, British High Commissioner to Zambia, REBECCA TERZEON, said the UK remains committed to strengthening its long-standing trade and investment partnership with Zambia and supporting the country’s transition from stability to growth.
