ECZ Sets Two Result Announcements for Today

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) last night resumed the announcement of presidential election results following the lifting of the suspension of the counting and announcement process.

The Commission says results from Feira, Chisamba, Dongwe and Kundabwika constituencies have so far been announced, with incoming results continuing to undergo prescribed verification procedures before they are made public.

For today, August 15, 2026, ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro says it will conduct two presidential result announcements the first at 13:00 hours and the second at 20:00 hours.

The Commission has urged stakeholders and members of the public to remain patient, maintain peace and allow the results management process to proceed in an orderly manner, stressing that all results will be announced in accordance with the law and established procedures.
