Government Invests 3.6 Million Kwacha in Industrial Yard Equipment

By Fortune Sinyangwe Government has allocated 3.6 million Kwacha for new equipment to be installed at industrial yards in the Copperbelt and North‑Western Provinces. Commerce, Trade and Industry Lobito Corridor Trade Facilitation Project Coordinator Michael Nsunka said the equipment will boost production and help SMEs access regional markets through the corridor. Mr Nsunka revealed that contracts have been signed with three suppliers, with the equipment expected to arrive in the country by the end of September. He made the remarks during the opening of a capacity‑building training for cooperatives operating at the Kitwe industrial yard. Meanwhile, Small and Medium Enterprise Acting Permanent Secretary Lemmy Kafwanfwa urged cooperatives to ensure their products are ready for the export market. #SMEDevelopment #IndustrialGrowth #Copperbelt #NorthWesternProvince #TradeFacilitation
