Police have arrested 24-year-old Juma Mulonti in connection with the death of 24-year-old Norman Mapango, who was allegedly stabbed during a quarrel in John Laing Compound, Lusaka.

The incident happened on August 29, 2026, around 21:00 hours near Eboloko Night Club. Police say Mapango was allegedly stabbed in the chest with a knife before he was rushed to Chawama Level One Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

According to police, Mulonti was apprehended in Chongwe on September 7 after officers received information that he had been spotted in the Central Business District.

Mulonti is currently in police custody and is expected to appear in court once necessary procedures are completed.
