Zambia’s women’s national volleyball team has bowed out of the 2026 CAVB Women’s African Nations Championship after losing 3–1 to Ghana in the Round of 16.

The debutants showed resilience throughout the tournament, progressing from the group stage after finishing third in Group A, but their campaign has now come to an end at the knockout stage.

Head Coach Arnold Simulezi says the team will take valuable lessons from the championship and return home determined to correct their mistakes.

So far, hosts Kenya, Cameroon, Algeria and Ghana have secured places in the quarterfinals, with the remaining Round of 16 matches set to determine the other quarterfinalists.
