Security Threats Contained at Government Premises

Inspector General of Police GRAPHEL MUSAMBA says security threats that recently prompted heightened security measures at selected key Government premises have been contained.

Mr. MUSAMBA says this has allowed normal operations to resume at the affected institutions.

In a statement to ZNBC, Mr. MUSAMBA said security personnel remain deployed at designated locations to maintain surveillance and monitor the situation despite the reduction in associated risks.

Mr. MUSAMBA says the Police and other security agencies have also intensified patrols around the affected premises and other key Government installations as a precautionary measure.

Authorities have urged members of the public to remain calm and vigilant, and to promptly report any suspicious persons, activities or incidents to the Police or other relevant law enforcement authorities.
