Mundubile,Makebi Handed Over to Police

National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity -NRPUP- leader BRIAN MUNDUBILE and his running mate MAKEBI ZULU have been handed over to police and are currently undergoing interviews.

Police spokesperson GODFREY CHILABI has confirmed the development to ZNBC News, saying the two opposition leaders are being interviewed by a team of law enforcement officers and their lawyers are present.

Mr. CHILABI said police will issue an official statement once the interview process has been concluded.

The questioning follows a police summons issued to Mr. MUNDUBILE and Mr. ZULU in connection with investigations into alleged activities that police say have the potential to threaten national security.

The two have been under the protection of the United Nations in Lusaka.
