THE International Monetary Fund (IMF) has congratulated President Hakaïnde Hichilema on his re-election and has reaffirmed its commitment to support Zambia.
In a congratulatory letter issued in Washington D.C yesterday by IMF managing director Kristalina Georgieva to President Hakaïnde, she pledged to continue rendering assistance for the development agenda of Zambia in the next five years of his tenure.
Ms Georgieva extended best wishes to the President and a successful second term in office.
She also welcomed what she described as the “very close engagement” between Zambia and the IMF.
